History

1920	Started a private company with a small shop.
1952	Incorporated as Isowa Industry Co., Ltd.
1964	Appointed General, Inc. as Isowa's North American sales agent.
1966	Sale of the first Isowa Printer Slotter in the United States.
1969	Genichi Isowa is awarded the Blue Ribbon Medal Award. Licensing agreement reached with Koppers
1971	Established of "Isowa Hooperswift, Ltd.” a joint venture with Koppers.
1972	Exhibited an Isowa Flexo Press at DRUPA ’72
1973	A numerical tape controlled flexo printer slotter is developed.
1976	Sale of the first Direct Drive Cut Off Knife.
1977	Sale of the first Fingerless Singlefacer.
1979	Granted manufacturing license of the Fingerless Singlefacer to Koppers.
1980	Sale of the first Isowa Jumbo Flexo Die Cutter in the United States.
1982	CNC Gemini Flexo Folder Gluer to USA.
1983	Acquired Cor-Mac as a new North American sales agent.
1985	Granted manufacturing license of the Corrugator and CNC Flexo Gluers to Dorries, West Germany.
1986	ISOWA US SERVICE CENTER opens in Seattle.
1989	ISOWA NORTH AMERICA, INC. opens in New Jersey.
1990	ISOWA AG opens in Switzerland. Company name changes to ISOWA CORPORATION.
1991	Developed the TWIN LINE Double Deck Corrugator.
1992	ISOWA SERVICE CENTER GmbH opens in Duren, Germany. Introduced the SuperPress “Exceed”.
1993	Eiichi Isowa is awarded the Blue Ribbon Medal Award
1999	Developed the world’s first Non-Circulating Fexo Folder Gluer “The Super Flex” Eiichi Isowa is awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays.
2001	ISOWA EUROPE GmbH opens in Germany. “SuperFlex” wins “The Most Innovative Technical Development” in Technical FEFCO
2002	ISOWA AMERICA, INC. opens in Arizona, USA.
2003	ISOWA Corporation is listed in “The Manufacturing Brand Nagoya List” by The Nagoya Chamber of Commerce & Industry
2004	Developed the Fixed Type Flexo Folder Gluer “FALCON”. Developed a new flexo inking system “The SuperFlex Plus”.
2005	Introduced the Digital Printer ”Box Dream” at SINO CORRUGATED in Shanghai ISOWA SHANGHAI CO., LTD. opens in Shanghai
2007	Honored as one of the "top 300 small to mid enterprises promoting healthy Monozukuri by Small and Medium Enterprise Agency.
2007	Designated as an "Aichi Brand Enterprise" by Aichi Prefecture
2008	Developed the Open/Close Type Flexo Folder Gluer "IBIS".
2008	Licensing agreement reached with Kohler Coating to develop a Lower Energy State Corrugator.
2009	Received "The 34th Invention Grand Prize Performance Award" hosted jointly by Japan Invention Promotion Institute and Daily Industrial Newspaper Publishing Company.
2011	Received "The 36th Invention Grand Prize Performance Award" hosted jointly by Japan Invention Promotion Institute and Daily Industrial Newspaper Publishing Company.
2012	Received "The 37th Invention Grand Prize Performance Award" hosted jointly by Japan Invention Promotion Institute and Daily Industrial Newspaper Publishing Company.
