@HomeThe Story of Our Changes - Our KAIZEN Story
In 2001, ISOWA celebrated the 80th Anniversary of the founding of the company. Within the company during that time, the workforce was dominated by robot-like employees who thought things like, "I shouldn't say a word," "I should keep out of other people's work," and "I just have to put up with doing my job" and who did the work they were given in just the way they were told to do it, things that were the exact opposite of the principles for action set up by the company. Under those circumstances, on October 7th of that year, an 80th Anniversary Memorial Lecture was given that became a huge source of motivation in the reformation of our company after that.

And then hypothesis testing continued...

After changing its name to Sharaku () and becoming more powerful, the group continued on with repeating its activities of "forming a hypothesis and testing it out." In addition to members of each manufacturing department, including the Assembly, Machining, Planning, and Purchasing Departments, members from the Engineering Department began to participate as well. These members decided to check on progress and discuss the future schedule at the regular general meetings held once a week, with details being discussed at smaller, non-periodic meetings held by the various groups responsible for related processes. They've also provided information in-house by putting up logs of their regular meetings on the in-house company website and sending out an in-house email magazine to all company employees once a month so that other employees can find out exactly what this informal team has been so busy working on.
